Jordan the player vs. Jordan the owner: One of the many lockout storylines coming to a close

On October 28th 1998, at the height of the 1998 NBA lockout, Michael Jordanconfronted Wizards franchise owner Abe Pollin. Jordan said to Pollin in front of a full meeting of owners and players, “If you can’t make a profit, you should sell your team.” Jordan’s reprimand reverberated through the sports media outlets and implanted in the minds of his peers including Indiana Pacers legend and TNT sports analyst Reggie Miller. Miller referenced the event during a roundtable discussion about the current NBA lockout, which has just come to an end.
